An openly homosexual columnist in Ireland has written a piece blasting his country for considering same-sex marriage, warning the state has no business reinventing the family and undermining children’s “right” to a mother and father.
“Same-sex marriage is not some warm, fluffy equality bunny; it’s a bare-faced state power grab,” Manning writes. “The state gets to entirely remake marriage, not as the man/woman/child model we’ve inherited from 10,000 years of history and across all cultures, but as an anything-goes irrelevant partnership agreement between adults.”
We believe that these two examples alone should have a tremendous impact on anyone who is reading. Why? Because in the first paragraph what gives the state or any legislature the power to define “family” into whatever perspective they feel is best? What the state in this particular case is doing is ignoring society’s ways of operation.
Furthermore what the state is taking the right of having a mother and father away from the child. In essence the state is foregoing mountainous volumes of behavioral and sociological data that with facts and evidence out of the hands of the people. And in this particular case – again – is having its go at playing God; or subsequently, every society for the last 10,000 years.
One last item to bring up with regards on society making. President James Madison in public writings, books, and in countless speeches warned our electorate of factions. How many times per day do you hear, “yes but…the majority doesn’t always win…” And don’t you just wish you had even one dime for every time it is stated however, the person saying it doesn’t have a clue what they are talking about?
Same-sex marriage is not supported by the majority, but states could care less insofar as that is the brevity that they reach without federal intervention. At least for now.
Interestingly Mr. Manning, who is narrating this article, goes on to say, “Manning explains same-sex unions will render marriage “irrelevant” because “for the first time, children and parenthood [will have] no place in marriage.”
And that is only one mention of the downsides of same-sex marriages. Couples are now going to the several states looking for their means of equality such as the same items that traditional marriages receive…Good luck.
“Only a man and a woman have children, despite every fantasy the gender-busters want us to believe,” Manning writes. “Every child has a right to that natural life. Same-sex marriage asks us to ignore reality and children’s rights to a mother and father.”
As for the second paragraph example, we believe what Manning is stating what about tradition, values, and morals. Moreover, (if there is such a thing) he actually addresses the rights of the unborn as well as all of the parties of the traditional marriage.
We believe that the following is why special interest groups are organizing, spending ridiculous amounts of money in support of what they may not believe.
Ireland’s Prime Minister Enda Kenny said he supports same-sex marriage “very strongly” and that the Government will actively campaign for it. Government supporting the causes, which as you know is precisely the same as Barack Obama has done here in America.
