Major Setback For Amnesty Push

Puzzled Confused Lost Signpost Showing Puzzling ProblemThe chairman of the House Armed Services Committee says a proposal to allow illegal aliens to receive permanent legal residency by enlisting in the military will not be in the underlying text of a must-pass defense bill, dealing a serious blow to a push to enact the immigration measure.

“I do not intend to include the ‘ENLIST’ Act in the proposed National Defense Authorization Act that I will submit to the Armed Services Committee next month. I have reached this conclusion without regard to my views on the underlying policy, but because I do not believe that the Chairman’s mark should be the original venue for this debate,” Rep. Buck McKeon, the chairman of HASC, said in a statement.

“Over the past several days I have heard from Members on and off the committee on both sides of this issue. They have made sound arguments and raised valid concerns, and my colleagues and friends Congressmen Denham and Coffman deserve a great deal of credit for responsibly raising the matter. This is an important issue that I know will continue to be debated going forward,” he added.

Muslims let Their Values be Heard…Again on the eve of a Religious Celebration

What is it with these people? Why has it become so predictable that when America or Americans begin to observe a religious celebration that one can just about set their calendars by the behavior of other religious sects?

Why is it that on or around Christmas time, one knows that there will be a brouhaha initiated by Atheists especially for religious icons, maternity scenes and we know that Muslims are going to gripe about any Public Service organization trying to utilize the time of “giving” in a way that has a person reach into their pockets for change.

Goodness sakes already! In a culture that aspires men to be observant and mannerly about their hats – not to be worn when eating, as in all formalities, not to be worn while sitting down, and be proper about it as with anySikh's protesting other piece of clothing. So why, I ask anyone, try and ask politely that a Sikh take their turban off whist sitting and eating and you have become a discriminator?

For what it is worth, if a person migrates to the USA for any reason, then it is incumbent upon them to uphold the laws of the U.S. Having stated that now we bring you the latest from the Muslim community.

Muslim moms and dads in Dearborn, Mich. are upset after students received flyers promoting an Easter Egg hunt at a local Presbyterian church. The parents say the egg hunt violates the U.S. Constitution.

The Muslims told the Detroit Free-Press that they were concerned about the religious implications of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church’s “Eggstravaganza!” They were also troubled by images of a bunny rabbit.

“It really bothered my two kids,” parent Majed Moughni, told the newspaper. “My son was like, ‘Dad, I really don’t feel comfortable getting these flyers, telling me to go to church. I thought churches are not supposed to mix with schools.’ ”

Always remember this one kid, “Life is like a box of chocolates…” (Forrest Gump)
