We at The Contemplative Thinker are virtually at the point of disbelief. We are not thinking as children do, as we do not think that the sun follows us wherever we go until it goes home or until we go to sleep. Rather we think of ourselves as those who constantly press on with varying degrees of critical thinking.
And let me tell you, or let you in on a bit of critical thinking…it is work and most of the time that one has figured out the dilemma or problem that is pulling us in so many directions we openly confess that it is because the action is our fault.
One of the current (for generations) problems that we have in government is that no person will ever take on the blame for what has happened either on their watch, or it was somehow delegated to another person. Using President Barack Obama as a prime example, what do we know about the IRS scandal, Fast & Furious, international arms trade, what is being agreed upon in Syria, what is America’s option in Afghanistan, where are USA military personnel stationed around the world.
As anyone can see there are many matters going on that involve our country, citizens of others, and you and I who sit idly by doing absolutely nothing about anything.
Now let us ask you this question. Who and where are the people who are supposed to take attribution for these matters? Attribution is a word that has been written more times on this site because in a strict communicative sense it means “taking of blame.” Under normal usage attribution is the act of saying something was done by someone else.
We are certain that you would agree that whatever happens in our Nation’s capital one of two things will happen. One, a person alleged responsible for something will exercise attribution; that is, they will simply blame someone else. And two, we cannot forget about blame or whose fault something really is – yet rarely, if anytime at all do we ever find out who those people are.
Examples such as changing the direction of immigration reform – amnesty – from the legislative branch and Bogarting it to the point of self-interest is a total and complete job of abusing the balance of power. Another phony example of abusing the balance of power is filtering matters through the Justice department or by using the Attorney General’s office.
So we ask who’s to blame for Fast & Furious? What give the POTUS the power to abuse an executive order and allowing amnesty for 1.7 million younger students? The answer is always going to be one of the three branches of government. WRONG!
Ultimately the fault or culpability for the madness of our government is us! I was around for the Watergate mess and subsequent hearings. President Nixon was not doing anything that every person in his shoes had not done before him. President Nixon got caught! And by who was he nabbed? By the anxious people of America based on some fabulous investigative journalism by two men Woodward and Bernstein.
The biggest difference between President’s Nixon and Obama is that Nixon took the blame for what he had done then resigned from office and lived a rather nice life.
So in the event that you think someone will stand up and take blame for, you name it – forget it! The folks for the most part living in the USA today is far to pampered and with their illegitimate power, feed those who remain, just getting richer. If you need someone to blame for the atrocities that are occurring in our Nation, let’s start with us…the ordinary people who go day to day and could care less that unconstitutional orders are given to ICE about deportation and the simple removal of illegal immigrants.
