“Holes and how to plug them”
Reform is an act of improving by alteration, correction of an error, or removal of defects; put into a better form or condition. Reform can also be used as a campaign aimed to correct abuses or malpractices. A series of actions advancing a principle or tending toward a particular end; “he supported various campaigns”; “the team was ready for a drive toward the pennant”; “the movement to end slavery”; “contributed to the war effort” a change for the better as a result of correcting abuses; “justice was for sale before the reform of the law courts.”
Of immediate concern is in the area of border security. Does the US currently have the human-power in place to provide for security against an unforeseen infiltrator? We suggest that it does not. Current data suggests that at the further most point approximately 60% of illegal’s are being apprehended before or at crossing the border. (Critical reading)
However from a report issued by agents who have worked in the exact same divisions of the border report “that they’d be lucky if it were really at 10% of those crossing our borders. (Serious reading)
Being realistic regarding this current situation one need only ask a few simple questions. One, if the USA were to engage in a war with a lunatic Persian leader would they do so on the understanding that they were going to lose 90% of the fighting military? We think not. Two, if prior to boarding an international flight the pilot told you that you had a 10% chance of making it through the flight, would you still board the aircraft?
These questions may seems futile to some, however all things being equal if our Border Patrol agents state that they are apprehending less than 10 percent of illegal aliens there definitely needs to be corrected of its abuses and malpractices.
The exact hold true with what reports we are receiving from agents in the field and bureaucrats in Washington D.C. Currently there exists a differential of 50 percent of apprehension rate which as the report mentions is unacceptable. We suggest finding the appropriate means of a change for the better as a result of correcting abuses and dysfunction between departments.
We have found the questioning of DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano before the House Judiciary Committee asked DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano about the administration’s DREAM Act executive amnesty. Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Calif.), who chairs the Immigration Subcommittee, asked Sec. Napolitano how many illegal aliens would receive work permits while millions of Americans were out of work. He had to ask the questions four times before getting an answer. Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith asked Sec. Napolitano if students who qualify would have to provide a certified school transcript. She said, they’re “still working on the details.”
Very simply our question is and remains “Where is the reform in this matter?” A simple question that ostensibly would receive a simple answer goes on for nearly 4 minutes and the primary question never is answered. What does policy dictate? This is astonishing when one sees that there isn’t yet a policy which would dictate the answer.
And therefore we have begun what the first element should be when endeavoring to reform the law. First and foremost there does not exist laws in the books for one to mess up entirely to warrant reformation.
However rather than 600 people trying to come up with an agenda that will really begin and confirm additional migraine headaches at trying to fix something that has entered into existence by due negligence, adverse reaction to various stimulus, or let’s just say an Act, policy, or something ordered up by some lunatic with a pen and a phone.
Now just suppose that Barack Obama amnesties 11 million illegals that are already here. Just as it happened in 1986-1988 who could possibly hold back an additional 2 or 3 million more people because of this or that excuse?
Finally please look at the matter of good faith and good will legislation that has already permeated the books. The DREAM Act, DACA initiative, guest worker programs, in addition to visa lotteries, Birthright Citizenship, and any number of further entitlement programs.
