Two very quick Titles,1 Political, 1 Illegal immigrant

Many in response to yesterday’s blog where what was going to be the real outcome “AImmigration_Separating_Families_66440_jpg-25ddf_c0-65-6000-3935_s620x400

HugeBlue wave or an even bigger Red Wave”? Well depending on those who were endorsed by the President, all five candidates revealed in the victory.

Starting very early this morning results came in and most organizations didn’t want to be edgy with sporadic elections going round and round and then face change. Seems from most news reports I either read or heard, it was in the blue districts where delays were requested for the mailed in ballots and absentee ballots.

Visa OverstaysCounted as Illegal Immigrants — are sure growing much higher

The nexus of illegal immigration into the U.S. has shifted away from the southwest border and into the country’s air and seaports, where more than 54 million visitors checked in last year — and nearly 630,000 of them didn’t go home, according to new numbers released Monday.

“This report shows that we have a problem with visa overstays in the United States,” a senior administration official said in briefing reporters on the new numbers, vowing to step up enforcement to try to cut down on the violations.

Indeed, more than 98.5 percent of those admitted through airports and seaports departed before their admissions expired in 2016. But the sheer amount of travel — some 54 million visitors who came through those air and seaports — means even that small overstay rate works out to nearly 740,000 illegal immigrants.

Nearly 630,000 immigrants were still in the U.S. at the end of 2016, for a persistent overstay rate of 1.25 percent.

Student visas and exchange visitors were the worst violators, with some countries averaging overstay rates above 20 percent.

Jessica Vaughan, policy studies director at the Center for Immigration Studies, said those kinds of rates should force a rethink at the State Department, which issues visas, and should spur immigration officials to put more effort into deterring and deporting overstays here in the U.S.

“The fact that more than 700,000 visits were overstayed last year shows just how much immigration_visa_overstays_32182_c0-75-2900-1765_s885x516we need to step up interior enforcement to create more of a deterrent, not only by identifying and deporting overstays but by weakening the job magnet by cracking down on employers who hire illegal workers,” she said.

While it’s difficult to know exact numbers, some analysts say that for every illegal immigrant nabbed at the border, another one gets through. That means that fewer than 500,000 new illegal immigrants a year have snuck in.

Oh, how I loathe to be embarrassed by government agencies. At George Mason University, where the college enjoys a robust paper on the desks and pens or pencils being written on while being on the top.

Honestly between the University of  Oregon (undergrad) and George Fox University (Degree converted) then up to George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia for most of my graduate study curriculum.

Well, I love to point out to you that the four institutions I attended were private and old. The University of Portland was the Congregation of Holy Cross Fathers, exactly the same as Norte Dame University, Geo Fox University was directed by The Society of Friends. The George Mason University had its roots in the Methodist doctrines. Yet, there the Theology Department remains near the top for colleges.

PS Most of the agitated migrants is using the mid-1930s and 1940s propaganda by stating something about separating families. As being knowledgeable stewards we must tell them that there is a difference between applying for amnesty programs and assylulm=seeking programs.
